We had a dingy, dark and cramped reception area in desperate need of an upgrade. Melinda McQueen from Studio McQueen designed a new layout for us that maximised space and eased foot-traffic flow problems. We'd already had a couple of drawings done for the space by other designers, but Melinda was the first one to really look at why and how we used the area, and create something that solved problems and suited us perfectly.Melinda also found beautiful furnishings that worked with the Australian bush feel we were going for, as well as organising signage and paint colours. She was understanding and accommodating when we wanted to return or change certain furnishings, which was a benefit we hadn't anticipated but were grateful to have with Melinda. Visualising what things will look like at the end when you're still in the design phase feels like a huge deal, and knowing you can change things without offending your consultant or incurring too many costs is so valuable.We are so happy with our fresh, bright new reception area, and so pleased with all the work Melinda did for us.
